FAQs

Who is eligible to request products from The Period Pantry?

Absolutely anyone in Franklin County (Columbus) Ohio area that needs them.

What is required to receive a menstrual product delivery?

All we need is our Google form filled out with the details of what you need, your address and phone number, and a few other optional demographic questions (those questions help us get funding).

What if I don’t have a permanent address?

That’s okay, but please explain that on the form. You are welcome to use someone else’s address for a delivery, or we can arrange to meet you somewhere to drop your products off. If you have any further questions about this, please reach out to info@theperiodpantryproject.org and we will help you!

When will I receive my delivery?

We operate on a location-based delivery schedule. If you have any questions about your request, email info@theperiodpantryproject.org for more information. Typically our volunteers deliver between Saturday and Monday.

How often can I receive menstrual products?

Each household can request products monthly.

How many people in my household can I request products for?

We limit households to 10 menstruators. If you have a household larger than that, please email info@theperiodpantryproject.org. We also request the names and birthdates of those receiving product, so we are not duplicating requests.

What do I receive?

You will receive a quantity of 30 products. We group them by pads (light, regular, and/or heavy absorbency) and tampons (light, regular, and/or heavy absorbency). We usually also have menstrual cups, discs, and washable pads available by request.

Can  I request a certain brand or type?

You are welcome to make requests, but please know that we cannot always fill them. What we deliver is what is received through product drives or purchased through the funds donated to us.

What if I have a sensitivity or allergy to a certain product?

We will make every effort to accommodate your needs, but it might take longer for us to fulfill your request.

If you need help finding resources other than period products, visit our community resources page or call 2-1-1.
